How to get there and move
The main airports in Sardinia are to Cagliari (Elmas), about seven kilometers from Cagliari, Alghero (Fertilia) and Olbia (Costa Smeralda), linking the island to the main national and international airports. A few local flights also connect with some Italian cities to the small airport Tortolì (Arbatax).
Upon arrival at the airport you can rent a car on the spot, given that all airports have several car rental companies including Hertz, Europcar, Eurorent or use public services that connect the airports with their city, or taxis. In particular, the airport of Olbia, in the summer, leaving also direct buses to the main resorts of Costa Smeralda and Gallura.
Starting from the main airports, national and European flights can reach the airports of Sardinia. Several airlines offer domestic and international flights daily line, in addition to charter flights and low-cost during the summer.
